About this deal

To access your ebook(s) after purchasing, you can download the free Glose app or read instantly on your browser by logging into Glose. I would have loved to see Arthur develop his own confidence and self worth a little away from his twin.

Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). Roar was filled with things they loved – dragons, mermaids, ninja wizards and adventure – as well as things that scared them (including a very creepy scarecrow. Found abandoned in a bear cave as a baby, 12-year-old Yanka has always felt out of place in her small village. Something is happening to the Land of Roar, cracks appearing the ground and disappearances everywhere.

With Crowky, a half scarecrow, half crow evil villain, Wininja, Arthur’s half ninja, half wizard imaginary friend and Mitch, Rose’s half mermaid, half witch imaginary friend, what adventures could happen?Vlad picks up speed and I pull myself on to his back as flames and smoke and Crowky’s cries of rage chase after us. Jenny McLachlan has combined short chapters with constantly flowing action, meaning the story hooks readers very quickly and keeps them engaged right until the end.

Arthur’s Grandad decides the only way to find out is to venture into the folding bed and see if he comes out the other side, if he does the game obviously wasn’t real, if he doesn’t then he will have found the land of Roar. Biography: Jenny McLachlan is the author of several acclaimed teen novels including Flirty Dancing, Stargazing for Beginners and Truly, Wildly, Deeply. The remaining characters introduced throughout the book, come from the imaginations of the main characters, and as such, Jenny McLachlan has been able to push the boat out when it comes to their traits and personalities. For too many people, growing up means leaving behind adventurous stories for those more grounded in realism, which is such a shame as there’s plenty of time for readers to carry on enjoying both types of stories as they get older. These aren’t quickly drawn illustrations thrown in to break up the text; they’re rich pieces of artwork, each and every one of them. Next I found my way into secondary teaching and discovered that I loved it too: I got to read more books, show off and hang out with very funny teenagers.
