About this deal

My Audrey Hepburn loving heart is so happy! When in Rome is a delectable romance, sweet and satisfying as a slice of warm apple pie’ CHLOE LIESE Noah reluctantly lets her stay at his guest room. He knows he is in real trouble as soon as the woman in distress walks in her house. Because she’s famous, she’s beautiful and she’s gold hearted, lovely woman! His heart has already been broken by another city girl a few years ago. He cannot let that happen again. Sarah Adam just blew me completely away. I was expecting this to be good but not THIS good. Amazing and incredible. You can always count on a Sarah Adams rom-comto be equal parts funny, sweet, and swoony. When in Rome is all that and more with characters who will make you wish they were your friends, a quirky town you’ll want to visit, anda romance you’ll want to read again and again.” —Sophie Sullivan, author of Ten Rules for Faking It

the ending was so dragged out, it was so unnecessary i thought it was all pretty average but some of this dialogue was so difficult to get through This book managed to get me out a reading slump. YAY! If you just want a generic romcom that is just something fluffy and light to read, (something that's not too deep). This is your go to book! BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK DEEP YOU WON’T FIND MUCH! Definitely better than When in Rome, by a lot. From the first paragraph, I could tell this will be a good one. Amelia is fun and quirky but doesn’t seem like a pop star to me, but that’s okay, she’s still an interesting character and the perfect love interest for Noah. I also enjoyed Noah’s sisters and the way they meddled in his life.Amelia can't resist falling for the cozy town and her grumpy tour guide, but even Audrey had to leave Rome eventually.

What a loopdidoo of good and bad this was….so LET’S separate this into the good (what worked) and the bad (ooof). wHY this was surprisingly TOUCHING and unexpectedly mOrTiFYiNg because i felt ~E X P O S E D~ lol!! i have never felt so seen/connected to a book character before. 🙈 i feel like im Annie (h) or shes me. from her personality, her dynamic with her sisters, and her inexperienced love life, i could relate. the only thing missing is my very own bad boy, tattooed dating coach/training wheel Will Griffin (H)... whom if i dont get soon, then (instead of Practice Makes Perfect romcom) my love story would be a parody of Arranged Marriage judging from all the guys my moms been trying to set me up with lmao. 🤣💀 Then Noah starts to see a different side of Rae Rose--she's Amelia: kindhearted and goofy, yet lonely from years in the public eye. He can't help but get close to her. Soon she'll have to return to her glamorous life on tour, but until then, Noah will show Amelia all the charming small-town experiences she's been missing, and she'll help him open his heart to more. They are playful, flirty, fresh and gosh every time they interacted sparks flew. I loved reading about their feelings and getting to know them. Maybe that connection is missing because this book is almost aggressively wholesome. She’s in the shower — and he’s thinking about how nice her singing is. She’s in PJ bottoms and a camisole, and he yells at her to ask where her PJ top is (and then he wraps her up in a blanket to cover her up). One of the older women in town says it’s not right for him to be sharing his house with a woman who is tempting him. I think the characters said the sexiest thing to ever happen to them was a hug they shared. A hug. And guys, it’s important to note that she’s super inexperienced in bed. One of the characters even has a swear jar — where the money gets donated to charity, because of course it does.Trust yourself. You said you wanted flowers — let's get your damn flowers, Annie." (Key word trust yourself) the dedication alone is everything: ”this one is for the softies. the tenderhearted sweeties. the introverts who are afraid to shine.” already sobbing 🥹🥹 Sometimes a woman is just worn out and needs a break, you know?” The lines on her forehead deepen. “That doesn’t prove that you’re weak or neglectful, it proves to all the women standing by and watching you pave the road to success that it’s okay to say no. It’s okay to shut your door every now and then and put up a sign that says Busy taking care of me today. Piss off.”↞

This is my first book by Sarah Adams, but going in I had very high expectations given the hype surrounding “The Cheat Sheet.” Ultimately, I feel like that did this book a bit of a disservice, especially since this book is a bit different than her previous ones. Overall I liked it, and will read other books by her, namely the aforementioned Cheat Sheet, however, it didn’t blow me away like I was so hoping it would.Wow oh wow! I had never read a Sarah Adams novel before this one, but let me tell you something: IM DEFINITELY ABOUT TO READ HER OTHER BOOKS. When in Rome basically took over my life for a day.. because I think I read this book in a day? I mean I think I started it yesterday and I finished it today in the morning, so.. YEAHHHH Sarah knows how to grab my attention instantly. i think i would have liked this book a lot more if it was not for the insta-love... the majority of their relationship occurs within like the first weekend she's there. 🧍🏽‍♀️ it was just kinda boring, and i did not feel anything at all...i think the only parts i loved were when she was making fun of him and noah's sisters 🫶🏼 it’s like sarah adams crawled into my mind and wrote this character based off of my life and my experiences bc wow do i relate. it is beyond frustrating when everyone thinks they know you, when they try to tell you who you are. as if they know better. Practice Makes Perfect is a small town, friends to lovers, fake dating romance that is a fun, cute, tension filled rom-com that had me smiling and giggling throughout.
